Gwyn Jones


Gwyn Jones is the HR Manager for Renishaw plc based in New Mills, Wotton Under Edge. Renishaw is a global company with core skills in measurement, motion control, spectroscopy and precision machining. Their products are used for applications as diverse as machine tool automation, co-ordinate measurement, Raman spectroscopy, machine calibration, position feedback, CAD/CAM dentistry, stereo-static neurosurgery and medical diagnostics.

Gwyn has been a director of GET since 1990.

Jill Brearley

Vice Chair

Jill Brearley is the HR Manager at ABB Limited based in Stonehouse. ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact. ABB in the UK operates from more than 20 locations nationally and employs around 2,300 people. The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 117,000 people.

Jill has been a Director of GET since 1991.


Guy Biggin

Independent Director

Guy Biggin is a Partner at national firm of chartered accountants, Crowe Clark Whitehill. Guy works exclusively with educational and charitable organisations. He is based in Cheltenham and has considerable experience in audit and risk management as well as governance, trading activities, fundraising and other issues. Guy is a member of the Institute of Risk Management and sits on their Charity Special Interest Group.

Guy was appointed in February 2015.

Michael Bennett

Independent Director

Mike's career was in manufacturing industry initially in sales and marketing and then into general management. Always in the engineering industry and connected with the oil, aviation and automotive sectors. Spent fifteen years travelling overseas mainly in the oil fields such as Libya and Borneo. During that time carried out business in 54 different countries. In a parallel career in Reserve Forces was involved as a volunteer in training teenage Army Cadets and retired in 2008 in the rank of Colonel. Mike is also a Deputy to the Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire and was awarded the OBE on 2006 for his service to the Cadets.

Mike became a director in November 2015.

Jude Rodrigues

Independent Director

Jude Rodrigues has been a Partner at Davies and Partners Solicitors since 2007 and is the Head of the Planning, Highways and Environmental department. He is based in Gloucester although he can be found working out of the other firm's offices in Birmingham, Bristol and London. Jude is also a Director of Marketing Gloucester Limited which looks to promote living and working in the City of Gloucester.

Jude was appointed as a Director in 2015.

Gary Miller


Gary Miller is the Training and Development Manager at Delphi Diesel Systems Ltd. Delphi UK's Stonehouse facility specialises in high-precision machining to sub-micron tolerances in addition to testing and assembly. Products produced in the UK include diesel fuel injectors for light, medium and heavy duty applications.

Gary was appointed as a Director in 2015.


Tristram Southgate


Tristram is the Managing Director of Majorlift Hydraulic Equipment Limited, an SME based in Wickwar, Gloucestershire. Majorlift design and manufacture a range of hydraulic equipment used in the testing and servicing of automotive, aerospace and rail vehicles and sell around the globe.

Tristram became a Director in June 2018.

Andrew Ridley


Andrew is the Group HR & Health and Safety Manager for Pennant International Group Ltd. The Company is based in Staverton, Cheltenham.

Pennant is a leading provider of technical training solutions to Defence, Aerospace, and safety critical industries in the UK and overseas. An established supplier to the UK MoD and other major Defence contractors, Pennant has proven capability in the Design, Development, Manufacture, Delivery and Support of technical training solutions and services.

Andrew has been with Pennant for a year having worked previously in the Oil and Gas and Automotive sectors.

Andrew became a Director in February 2019.

Tony Powell


Tony has worked for Nortim Tools Limited for over 30 years and became the Owner and Managing Director 6 years ago.

Nortim is a family run business which was established in 1971 supplying a range of products to a variety of customers both in the UK and worldwide.

Anna Hollis


Anna is the HR Manager – Talent at Kohler Mira, based in Cheltenham. Kohler Mira is made up of 3 market leading bathroom brands – Mira Showers, Rada and Kohler UK, and has been established for over 90 years. The company is part of Kohler Co., a global manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom products, hospitality and power, with over 33,000 employees across 6 continents.

Anna has experience of leading Talent and Early Careers strategy, including STEM outreach across the UK and expertise in global talent projects. Her background encompasses both the private and not for profit sectors, including operational management and quality assurance.

Anna became a Director in February 2019.
