Overview of the courses
Further and Higher Education programmes are knowledge qualifications (academic programmes) that we run as part of our apprenticeship provision but also as stand-alone qualifications.
These are classroom-based programmes delivered from our site at Barnwood Point, Gloucester and run on a one-day-per-week basis. The timings of the programmes will vary depending on the course you are undertaking.

Assessment will take the form of either a series of assignments and/or exams, again depending on the program you are undertaking.

Higher Education (Level 4 & 5)
We deliver the following Higher Education programmes:
2 Year Higher National Certificate (HNC) in General Engineering via one of our three different internal pathways developed specifically by GET – Mechanical, Electrical or Dual Skills.
- 2 Year Higher National Diploma (HND) in General Engineering via one of our three different internal pathways developed specifically by GET – Mechanical, Electrical or Dual Skills
3 Year Combined High National Certificate / Higher National Diploma (HNCD) in General Engineering via one of our three different internal pathways developed specifically by GET – Mechanical, Electrical or Dual Skills
Bridging Studies
