  • Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety legislation, regulations and other guidelines
  • What is a CNC Mill/Lathe and the fundamental operating documents
  • Basic G and M codes
  • Sub Programmes and Sub Routines
  • Use of Canned Cycles for machining 
  • Absolute and Incremental Programming 
  • Tool Offsets and Tool Call Codes 
  • G28 and Safe Program procedures 
  • Tool nose compensation G41 G42. 
  • Program prove out and safe test features 
  • Load and save machine programs
  • Understanding machine coordinate systems, work offsets and datums
  • Understanding production drawings and specifications

Benefits/Progression

All practices will be carried out on either Haas 2 Axis ST10 CNC Lathes or 3 Axis Haas TM1 CNC Mills and the latest Haas Simulators.

The course can be tailored to be delivered at your company in line with your procedures and machines.
