- Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety legislation, regulations and other guidelines
- What is a CNC Mill/Lathe and the fundamental operating documents
- Basic G and M codes
- Sub Programmes and Sub Routines
- Use of Canned Cycles for machining
- Absolute and Incremental Programming
- Tool Offsets and Tool Call Codes
- G28 and Safe Program procedures
- Tool nose compensation G41 G42.
- Program prove out and safe test features
- Load and save machine programs
- Understanding machine coordinate systems, work offsets and datums
- Understanding production drawings and specifications

All practices will be carried out on either Haas 2 Axis ST10 CNC Lathes or 3 Axis Haas TM1 CNC Mills and the latest Haas Simulators.
