What you will learn
During the course you will learn the following:
- Work safely at all time complying with health and safety legislation, regulations and other guidelines.
- General CNC G and M Codes used whilst setting.
- Operation of Optional Stop, Block Skip and Single Block.
- Operation of MDI and its uses.
- Program prove out and safe test features
- Tool setting using Cut, Measure and Touch On Techniques.
- Adjustment of Tool Offsets and Wear Offsets.
- Editing programs on the machine control.
- Load and save machine programs.
- Clocking in workpiece/vice
- Understanding machine coordinate systems and setting of Work Offsets and Datums.
- Understanding when to seek assistance during production.

All practices will be carried out on either Haas 2 Axis ST10 CNC Lathes or 3 Axis Haas TM1 CNC Mills.
All skills will be transferable to any CNC Mill or Lathe.
