What you will learn

Beginners Course

During the course you will learn the following:

  • Safe working practices in line with HASAWA and PUWER.
  • ESD safe working procedures.
  • Understand common components including Passive Components, IC’s, and PCB’s.
  • Reading Schematic diagrams and symbols
  • Designing and building of circuits Soldering
  • Use of Multimeters and Oscilloscopes.
  • Introduction to testing and fault finding.

Advanced Course

Whilst embedding and building upon all of the Beginner Course skills, our advanced course includes:

  • Soldering techniques in accordance with IPC standards
  • Advanced fault-finding techniques
  • Electronic circuit repair of advanced surface mount and through hole electronic circuits
  • Introduction to Digital Systems and Logic Gates

Our Electronics training courses cover two levels; Beginners Electronics Assembly and Maintenance and Intermediate Electronics Maintenance and Testing. This approach offers the perfect opportunity for people that are new to Electronics to learn core skills and for those at a higher level, the opportunity to have skills stretched and challenged, supporting further progression.

Benefits/Progression

Upon completing the course successfully, you will have the awareness of how to work around electronic circuits safely and a better understanding of how circuits work. 

This is an introductory course and provides the fundamental health and safety awareness and basic principles of electronics only.

Further training and supervision is required until competent and qualified.

No formal qualifications required. However, we do recommend regular refreshing and updating of training.

Beginner Course: £1320 per delegate (maximum of 5 delegates)

Advanced Course: £1650 per delegate
