  • Safe working practices in line with PUWER and the Electricity at Work Act
  • Learn the different types of PLC system commonly used
  • Understand basic logic functions and how they each work within the PLC
  • Understand and read different binary codes
  • Learn the difference between analogue and digital signals and how the PLC processes both
  • Navigation of the programming software relevant to your PLC, including creating new and modifying existing programs
  • Take advantage of timers, counters and other functions to simulate different conditions
  • Manipulate the program and software to assist with fault finding

This PLC course, is for perfect for those new to PLC programming or those who want their skills refreshed. This course will give you the fundamental knowledge of how PLCs work internally, learning the programming structure, as well as how to use and navigate the software to fault find, or add expansions to your PLC. Your skills are then tested with various projects and tasks. We have the equipment available to accommodate both Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming.

This is an introductory course and provides the fundamental health and safety awareness and basic principles of PLCs only.

Further training and supervision is required until competent and qualified.

No formal qualifications required. However, we do recommend regular refreshing and updating of training.
