What you will learn
During the course, you will learn the following for Manual Lathes:
- Health and Safety, awareness of risks and safe operating procedures.
- Appropriate PPE and Safe Working Techniques
- Components of the machines and controls.
- Work holding with 3 Jaw and 4 Jaw chucks.
- Conventional cutting techniques, OD turning, drilling, boring, parting off, forming and generating.
- Inspection of machined components.
- Use of coolant
- Reinstating machine after use.
